This page explains what information we collect through our website, why we collect it, and the choices you have.
Who we are
Riverwild is a wedding venue in Indian Valley, Idaho. When we say "we" or "us" in this policy, we mean Riverwild. Questions about this policy can be sent to hello@riverwildidaho.com.
What we collect and why
Information you give us directly. When you fill out our inquiry form or email us, you share information like your name, email address, phone number, and details about your event. We use this information to respond to you and to provide our services. We do not sell it or share it with anyone who doesn't need it to serve you.
Information collected automatically. Our website uses cookies and similar technologies that collect certain information as you browse. This includes the pages you visit, how long you stay, the type of device and browser you're using, and a general idea of your location based on your IP address.
Advertising and the Meta pixel
We use the Meta pixel, a piece of code from Meta (the company behind Facebook and Instagram). It helps us understand how people find and use our site, and it allows us to show ads on Facebook and Instagram to people who have visited our website.
The pixel shares information about your visit with Meta, such as the pages you viewed and the actions you took. Meta may combine this with information from your Facebook or Instagram account and use it for its own purposes as described in Meta's Privacy Policy. We may also use this data to reach "lookalike" audiences, meaning people whose interests are similar to those of our website visitors.
We may also use similar tools from other platforms, such as Google Analytics, to understand our website traffic.
How to opt out
Adjust your Meta ad preferences. Visit your Facebook ad settings to control how Meta uses your activity from other websites to show you ads.
Block cookies in your browser. Every major browser lets you block or delete cookies in its settings. The site will still work, though some features may behave differently.
Opt out of interest-based advertising. Visit YourAdChoices or the Network Advertising Initiative to opt out of targeted advertising from many companies at once.
Who we share information with
We share information only with the service providers that help us run our business, including our website platform, our email provider, and advertising platforms like Meta as described above. These providers may only use your information to provide services to us. We do not sell your personal information for money. However, some state privacy laws consider the use of tracking tools like the Meta pixel for targeted advertising to be a form of "sharing" personal information. If you'd prefer to opt out of this, the methods listed above will do it.
We may also disclose information if required to do so by law or a valid legal request.
How long we keep it
We keep inquiry and client information for as long as we're working together and for a reasonable period afterward for our records. To request deletion of your information, contact us at hello@riverwildidaho.com.
Children
Our website is not directed at children under 13, and we do not knowingly collect personal information from them. If you believe a child has provided us with personal information, contact us and we will delete it.
Your privacy rights
Depending on where you live, you may have the right to know what personal information we have about you, request a copy of it, correct it, or have it deleted. We honor these requests for anyone, regardless of where you live. Contact us at hello@riverwildidaho.com and we will respond within 30 days.
Changes to this policy
If we update this policy, we will post the new version here with a new date at the top. If we make significant changes to how we handle your information, we will make reasonable efforts to notify you directly.
